Volleyball Semifinals San Antonio Sports Photography

Photographed NCAA Division 1 women’s volleyball semifinals at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Spent pretty much whole evening photographing women’s volley but it was exciting match!

First match was between UCLA vs FSU. The Bruins defeated Seminoles 25–16, 25–17, 25–21. Photos by San Antonio Sports Photographer Soobum Im.

Second match was USC vs Illinois. It was close game. After the fist game, I thought Trojans gonna win this match. Illinois defeated USC 3 set to 2.

Saturday’s match should be exciting. It’s going to be Illinois vs UCLA here at the Alamodome.

Touring choir | San Antonio Photographer

I was hired to photograph Trinity University touring choir. Photographing large group shot is always difficult and requires a lot of equipment to bring. I bought three Elinchrom Ranger studio gear to light them properly both indoor and out. Group photography tip: high angle shot to see all the members clearly! I love all the colors. Lighting was pretty simple - one Elinchrom Ranger on camera left and another on camera right.

We went outside to photograph some outdoor group shots. Unfortunately there were constructions going on around the campus and couldn't find large enough place to photograph large group. We ended up photograph at the Parker Chapel.

I made a quick photograph outside of the music department. Believe it or not, whole group was lit by one canon 580 EXII speedlite.

Photographed beautiful couple Matt and Lisa at the landa library. This is one of my favorite location in San Antonio metro area - I shoot a lot of engagement session, family portrait and bridal session. I brought variety of lenses today; from fish eye to 200 mm lens. I wanted to capture unique photos for them. Here's some of my favorite images. Dallas Cowboys Training Camp | San Antonio Photographer

Back from vacation, I had very vey busy week photographing WNBA all star games as well as Dallas Cowboys training camp here in San Antonio. I also shot engagement session, family portraits, and a wedding in 10 days. I haven’t updated my blog almost a month now. I am trying to update photos more often.

A lot of Tony Romo fans here in San Antonio. Good to see him back again.

Photographed environmental portrait type headshot photograph for the magazine. Dr. Z was very comfortable in front of the camera. I used a simple light on this. Just one speedlite on camera left with a softbox. It was feathered quite a bit to avoid any reflection from the window.
