Medical photography is challenging because I have no idea of knowing how the (surgery) rooms gonna be like: it’s usually small and lit with green fluorescent light. Also, I have to work fast. When I photograph doctors, athletes, etc, I only have 10~15 min to finish. My setup is pretty simple: one 28″ Westcott Apollo softbox on camera left and a grid behind to the right to simulate sun light coming off the windows. Softbox takes more time to setup but I like to control the light in fairly tight space.

Fantastic environmental portrait. Great job. I love the light on this. way to show off the fancy equipment, too!
Nicely done; very good lighting.
