I got a call from Jay who’d like to propose next day and want engagement photography taken at the Alamo.  I was very excited and he and I’ve been emailing back and forth all night planning things out.  Jay wanted some of photo taken at the riverwalk and lastly he wanted to do some modern look: something like he and his girlfriend walking across the street at night.  So I planned and arrived at the Alamo waited for the couple to show up.  Shoot some candid photo.  Felt like paparazzi or something.  It was completely surprise for Jennifer and engagement session went really well.  Took some photo in front of the Alamo.  No real fancy lighting.  A lot of them shot with natural lighting and canon 580 EXII triggered by pocket wizard.  I also used LED light and this thing is great for focus and add accent light on subject.  Also, I did some fusion style approach with Canon 5D Mark II.  Most of my package including family, engagement, and wedding comes with complementary video and this is great tool for me to tell the story.  I think engagement session should be able to tell the story of the couple and this fusion approach (still + audio + video ) is awesome way.
