Back from vaca­tion, I had very vey busy week pho­tograph­ing WNBA all star games as well as  Dal­las Cow­boys train­ing camp here in San Anto­nio.  I also shot engage­ment ses­sion,  fam­ily por­traits,  and a wed­ding in 10 days.  I haven’t updated my blog almost a month now.  I am try­ing to update pho­tos more often.

Pho­tographed anual David’s Ride biclying event at the McQueeney Texas.  Evey year cyclist from San Anto­nio and Austin ride hon­or­ing pas­tor David Eiken­burg, who died in a cycling acci­dent on July 11, 2005.  It’s a great chance to meet with very pas­sion­ate and sup­port­ive peo­ple.  Check out David’s ride face­book page for next year’s ride.

Pho­tographed Spurs press con­fer­ence today at the spurs train­ing facil­ity.  Spurs drafted two excit­ing play­ers,  Kawhi Leonard (left) and Cory Joseph (right).  They reminded me of Sean Elliott & Tony Parker.  Hope to be another great season.

Pho­tographed play­off bas­ket­ball game between San Anto­nio Spurs vs Mem­phis Griz­zlies.  Spurs made incred­i­ble shot forc­ing game 6 but that was the last game of the sea­son for the Spurs.

To be Spurs play­ers looked really really tired.   Great work to be top seed in west­ern con­fer­ence.  Hope to an even bet­ter next sea­son. Read more

Manu’s back on the court tonight.  Fans were yelling Manu Manu!.  Next time, I am bring some earplugs.

I was assigned one of my favorite place to shoot but was too crowded with pho­tog­ra­phers, TV guys and fans.  I wasn’t very com­fort­able shoot­ing that posi­tion (espe­cially fans with beer on their hands) so I decide to go upper level to shoot down.  I got some good sep­a­ra­tion shot of Tim and Marc. Pho­tographed NBA play­off round one between San Anto­nio Spurs vs Mem­phis Griz­zlies.  I got nice seat assign­ment (side­line where three point line meet) and was able to set up remote cam­era where I wanted. Dur­ing play­off, TV guys usu­ally get the best seat in the house.

I usu­ally shoot with canon 70–200 @2.8 and be able to get both full length and tight shot.  If I get to shoot close to the bas­ket, I have to use wider angle lens like 24–70.  Client don’t like this angle.   Read more

Pho­tographed 2nd & 3rd round of Valero Open in San Anto­nio Texas.  I may not be able to cover final round of the PGA tour because of NBA play­off tomor­row.  Will try to make it out to the TPC San Anto­nio right after the game.  Vol­un­teers & staff were incred­i­bly nice.  Great food at the J.W Mar­riott as well.  Here’s some photos:

Shot most of the pho­tos dur­ing the day — from 2-3PM.  Had to shoot in raw and brighten the player’s faces in post process — light­room 3 & pho­to­shop CS3.
